Tavannes black gilt dial

  • Tavannes, circa 1940s, featuring a 32 mm 18k yellow gold case by Favre & Perret (hammer 115), the famed La Chaux-de-Fonds case maker that also supplied Patek Philippe throughout much of the 20th century. It boasts a striking black gilt dial with gilt Roman numerals, matching gilt hands and a recessed small seconds register. Powering the watch is the chronometer-grade calibre 216, finished with Côtes de Genève. Preserved in NOS condition, it retains its original strap, tag and buckle.
