Maplux ATO from 1930s

Very rare and well preserved Maplux ATO clock from the early 1930s, signed ATO, featuring an illuminated and rotating terrestrial globe allowing the instant reading of the time anywhere in the world, the glass globe covered with printed paper and lit from within by a bulb, manufactured by J. Forest, Paris (17–19 rue de Buci) and driven by a synchronous ATO motor operating on alternating current (110 volts, 50/60 Hz), set on a chromed and bronzed stepped base with an inclined profile.
