Charles Oudin chronograph Pocket watch

Charles Oudin pocket chronograph, circa 1910, featuring a round 18k yellow gold case. The champagne dial features Breguet-style Arabic numerals, blued steel hands, two vertically aligned registers for running seconds and the 30-minute counter, and an outer 1/5th-second scale. The caseback is decorated with a blue enamel monogram. The manual-winding chronograph movement is rhodium-plated and fitted with a cut bimetallic balance and micrometric regulator. The gold cuvette is signed “Ch. Oudin, Horloger de la Marine, 17 Avenue de l’Opéra, Paris.” Founded in Paris in the late 18th century by Jean-Charles Oudin, a pupil and collaborator of Abraham-Louis Breguet, Charles Oudin was one of the great names in Parisian watchmaking, alongside Breguet and Leroy, particularly renowned for its precision and complicated watches.
