18k gold Vintage watch bracelet with brick-style mesh

Verger Frères wristwatch from the 1950s, designed for Lacloche and shaped as a whale-inspired clasp. The 18-carat yellow gold case has a textured finish and features an 18-carat gold dial positioned on the lateral side of the case. The dial is fitted with square 18-carat gold hour markers. The crown is located on the underside of the watch.

The watch is fitted with an articulated tubular bracelet in 18-carat yellow gold, composed of square-section links. The bracelet attaches to the case at the whale’s tail, which is articulated and serves as the opening and closing mechanism. Archival material from the late 1930s documents an earlier version of this design by Verger Frères for Lacloche, sharing the same overall concept and bracelet architecture.
